Bert Hellinger the founder of Family Constellations worked as a priest and teacher for many years with the Zulus and noticed that in spite of the complexity of the family systems often with multiple wives the families appeared to have fairly amicable connections with each other. He took this information with him when he went back to Germany and left the priest hood to become a family therapist and noticed that if order was restored to the family system that it was more beneficial to all in the family.

Since then this has become a common Family Constellation term in resolving dynamics and entanglements that disrupt or inhibit relationships.
