Professional development in:
Becoming a more effective facilitator of change
If you are looking for a way of enhancing the work you do with others and want a holistic approach involving mind, body and soul that is highly effective then this may be ideal for you. You may already know that we are all part of our family system and working with the system is a powerful way of coming to a place of personal resolution. Family Constellations is Systemic Therapy. Family Constellations comes from the Phenomenological, Humanistic approach in being experiential, however it is also a brief intervention and solution focused. Generally this training is for people who are already in the business of working with others in a therapeutic way. The training is appropriate for professionals who already have training and appropriate memberships to professional organisations and appropriate insurance for dealing with individuals.
While traditionally Family Constellations has taken place in seminars or workshops worldwide since its inception with the innovator Bert Hellinger, the work or Ursula Franke enabled this work to transpose into private sessions. This development is extremely useful for most therapist who work individually with clients. For this reason module 3 is devoted to the use of Family Constellations in private sessions in 3 different formats so that participants are well equipped to use it in workshops or in private sessions.
For international students – The course is conducted in English.
After you complete level 1 training with us – you will be able to use it in your work as we incorporate practical sessions where you are conducting a Family Constellation (fully supervised). We would like you to attend a workshop to experience how it is conducted – where a student is unable to attend public workshops (due to living a long way from the venues) it is possible to do an assignment instead. Should you require this exception it should be discussed and agreed upon prior to joining the course.
Professional and Personal Development
Doing this 13 days training will complete a working knowledge of Family Constellations practice and theory for groups and private sessions. If you are a practitioner, you will be able to take this knowledge into your work. This is a complete psychotherapeutic practice in itself.
However Family Constellations is much more than intellectual knowledge and a group of skills. It is a philosophy that involves the Mind, Body and Soul. This work requires advanced levels of personal development in the facilitator in having developed a healthy sense of self and healthy boundaries and the ability to have compassion for all in a family system. From such a position it may be possible to facilitate objectively and safely for all concerned.
Therefore in order to be an effective facilitator it is necessary to resolve as much of the Constellation student’s entanglements and blind spots, so as to avoid having them projected into the Constellations of potential clients, thereby providing poor facilitation for the client and their family system.
This means that the 13 days of training of this complete psychotherapeutic process involves a steep learning curve in profession development of knowledge and experience and also deep personal processing for students through their own constellation processes.
The course involves experiential learning primarily. Learning through doing, being, observing and feeling. Yildiz appreciates that students will arrive with many modalities and knowledge under their belt. The training is such that students should be able to apply the philosophy and practice it to their own ways of working and continue to integrate and develop it into the future.
